Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha around 7:00 AM after breakfast. You’ll begin your drive to Tarangire National Park, about 2 - 3 hours southwest of Arusha. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, beautiful baobab trees, and rich wildlife. It’s less crowded than other parks, making it a great place to enjoy a peaceful game drive. You might see Elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests Leopards, cheetahs, and various antelopes, over 500 species of birds, making it a paradise for bird lovers. You’ll enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park. After the game drive, you will head to Karatu, a quiet town near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s a great base for exploring the crater the next day. You’ll check into your mid-range lodge or hotel, enjoy a warm shower, relax, and then have a freshly prepared dinner.

Day 2: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha/Airport
After an early breakfast, you’ll leave the lodge around 6:00 AM and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This early start gives you the best chance to see animals when they are most active. You’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful and unique wildlife areas in the world. It is the largest unbroken caldera (volcanic crater) on Earth and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside the crater, you can expect to see: Lions, hyenas, elephants, hippos, and zebras’ the rare black rhino (Ngorongoro is one of the best places to spot them), flamingos and other birds near Lake Magadi, a variety of antelope species and stunning landscapes. You’ll stop at the Hippo Pool Picnic Site inside the crater. Here, you can enjoy your packed lunch while watching hippos relaxing in the water. After lunch, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha or to Kilimanjaro International Airport if you have a flight. On the way, you’ll stop at local curio shops where you can buy souvenirs such as handmade carvings, jewelry, or Tanzanian fabrics to take home.
