Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Mto wa Mbu (Camping)
Your safari begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, you’ll begin your drive to
Tarangire National Park, about two hours from Arusha. Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal swamps that attract wildlife year-round. Upon entering the park, you’ll have a full-day game drive in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of birdlife. Around midday, your guide will set up a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the park. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to your campsite near Mto wa Mbu, where your camp crew will have prepared your tent and a hot meal. You can relax by the campfire before settling into your tent for the night.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Wake up early to enjoy breakfast at camp before driving to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After checking in at the park gate, you’ll descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, this massive caldera is home to nearly every major African animal species, including lions, elephants, hyenas, buffalo, hippos, and if you’re lucky, the endangered black rhino. You’ll spend several hours on a game drive exploring the crater floor’s diverse ecosystems, including forest, savannah, and soda lake areas. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before ascending back to the rim and beginning the return journey to Arusha. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
