Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari starts with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. From there, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park. On the way, you’ll see local villages and open countryside. When you arrive at the park, you’ll go on a game drive to look for animals. Tarangire is known for its large groups of elephants and big baobab trees. You may also see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and other animals. The park has many types of birds too, so it’s a great place for birdwatching. After the game drive, you’ll go to your lodge or camp near the park, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll leave Tarangire and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. When you get there, you’ll drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater, a large round valley filled with animals. This is one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. You may also see zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and many birds. The crater has lakes, grasslands, and forests, which make it a great home for wildlife. After your game drive inside the crater, you’ll go back up and drive to your lodge or camp near the crater or in the nearby town of Karatu. You’ll have dinner and stay there for the night.
Day 3: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara and Return to Arusha
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is small but full of different animals and birds. The lake is often covered with flamingos, and the forest is home to many baboons and monkeys. You may also see elephants, hippos, giraffes, and the famous tree-climbing lions. After your game drive, you’ll stop for lunch, then begin your drive back to Arusha. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, depending on your travel plans.
