Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After a safari briefing, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the Tarangire River.

Enjoy a game drive through the park while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, warthogs, and various bird species. Tarangire offers beautiful landscapes and excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, drive to your lodge near Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.

Explore the crater floor, one of Africa’s best wildlife areas and home to the famous Big Five. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino, along with zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and many bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool while surrounded by breathtaking crater scenery. After the game drive, return to your lodge near Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park located beneath the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.

Enjoy a game drive through the park, famous for tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, monkeys, and colorful birdlife including flamingos. Explore the forests, open plains, and lakeshore areas while enjoying the scenic beauty of Tanzania.
