Day 1: Arusha National Park to Karatu

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After a short briefing, drive to Arusha National Park, a beautiful destination located near Arusha town and surrounded by the impressive Mount Meru.

Enjoy a game drive through the park's diverse landscapes, including forests, open grasslands, and Momella Lakes. Look for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, monkeys, baboons, flamingos, and many bird species. You may also enjoy stunning views of Mount Meru and the Ngurdoto Crater.

After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue your journey towards Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive.

Explore the crater floor, home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Search for the Big Five including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino. You will also see zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and many bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool while surrounded by breathtaking crater scenery. After the game drive, ascend the crater and return to Arusha in the late afternoon, marking the end of your amazing Tanzania safari adventure with Nelwen Tours & Safaris.
