Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After a safari briefing, drive through the beautiful Tanzanian countryside towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino.

Explore the crater floor while spotting zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and many bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your afternoon wildlife adventure.

Later, ascend the crater and drive to your lodge near Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the Tarangire River that attracts wildlife throughout the year.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and various bird species. Tarangire offers excellent wildlife viewing and beautiful African landscapes.
