Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After a short safari briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most scenic wildlife parks, famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the Tarangire River.

Enjoy a full-day game drive as you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, and many bird species. If you're lucky, you may also spot leopards or cheetahs.

Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later, drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend over 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's best wildlife destinations.

Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor while searching for the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino. You will also see zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, flamingos, and many other animals in their natural habitat.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your wildlife safari.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, where your unforgettable Tanzania safari with Nelwen Tours & Safaris comes to an end.
