Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After a short briefing, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania's most scenic parks, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through lush forests, open grasslands, and the lake shoreline. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, hippos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, blue monkeys, and over 400 bird species, including flamingos during the right season.

Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing.

In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge near Karatu or Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's premier wildlife destinations. The park is well known for its giant baobab trees, the Tarangire River, and one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa.

Enjoy a full-day game drive while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, and a variety of birdlife. If you're lucky, you may also spot leopards or cheetahs.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.
