Day 1: Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut
Elevation: 1,860 m → 2,720 m
Hiking: 8 km | Time: 3–4 hours
Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins at Marangu Gate. After registration and a short briefing, start trekking through the beautiful rainforest, where you may see monkeys and enjoy the lush mountain scenery. Continue to Mandara Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
Elevation: 2,720 m → 3,720 m
Hiking: 12 km | Time: 5–7 hours
After breakfast, leave the rainforest behind and enter the moorland zone. Enjoy spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic landscape as you trek toward Horombo Hut. Take time to rest and allow your body to adjust to the increasing altitude.
Overnight: Horombo Hut
Day 3: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut
Elevation: 3,720 m → 4,703 m
Hiking: 10 km | Time: 6–8 hours
Today you trek across the alpine desert toward Kibo. The landscape becomes increasingly rocky and dramatic as you approach the mountain’s highest volcanic cone. After arriving at Kibo Hut, have dinner and rest early because your summit attempt begins around midnight.

Day 4: Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut
Elevation: 4,703 m → 5,895 m → 3,720 m
Hiking: 22 km | Time: 12–15 hours
Summit Day!
Wake around midnight and begin the challenging ascent toward Gilman’s Point. Continue along the crater rim toward Stella Point before making the final climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)—the highest point in Africa.
Celebrate your incredible achievement at the Roof of Africa, take photos, and enjoy the unforgettable views. Descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut.

Day 5: Horombo Hut – Mandara Hut
Elevation: 3,720 m → 2,720 m
Hiking: 12 km | Time: 4–6 hours
After breakfast, begin your descent through the moorland and rainforest zones. Enjoy the changing scenery and the feeling of accomplishment as you make your way back toward Mandara Hut.
Overnight: Mandara Hut
Day 6: Mandara Hut – Marangu Gate
Elevation: 2,720 m → 1,860 m
Hiking: 8 km | Time: 3–4 hours
Your final day takes you through the lush rainforest to Marangu Gate. After reaching the gate, complete the park formalities and receive your Kilimanjaro summit certificate if you successfully reached the required summit point.
Your driver will meet you and transfer you back to Arusha or Moshi, marking the end of your unforgettable Kilimanjaro adventure.
