Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. Meet your experienced safari guide and depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park.

The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania, with a lunch stop along the way. As you approach Serengeti, the scenery transforms into vast golden plains stretching endlessly toward the horizon.

Enter Serengeti for an afternoon game drive, beginning your search for the Great Migration herds. Depending on the season and location of the migration, you may encounter thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains, together with the predators that follow them.

Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas and numerous species of antelope.

As the afternoon light begins to soften, continue your game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Serengeti Great Migration Safari | Follow the Herds

Wake up early to the sounds of the African wilderness and prepare for a full day of exploration in Serengeti.

After breakfast, set out with your safari guide to search for the Great Migration. The location of the herds varies according to rainfall, food availability and the natural migration cycle, so your guide will use local knowledge and current wildlife conditions to determine the best areas to explore.

Spend the day following the spectacular movement of wildebeest and zebras across the Serengeti plains. You may witness huge concentrations of animals feeding together, dramatic predator-prey encounters, or young animals travelling with their mothers.

If the migration is in an area where river crossings are taking place, you may have the opportunity to witness one of nature's most dramatic scenes as animals gather along the riverbanks before attempting the crossing. River crossings are completely natural events and cannot be guaranteed.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive through the afternoon.

As the sun begins to set over the Serengeti, return to your accommodation for dinner and another night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands – Arusha

The morning is an excellent time to search for wildlife, when many animals are active and the temperatures are cooler. Continue exploring the Serengeti plains while keeping watch for lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife.

After the game drive, begin your journey toward Arusha. Depending on your departure schedule and safari route, you may enjoy a scenic stop or lunch along the way while travelling through the spectacular landscapes of northern Tanzania.

Continue to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or evening, where your unforgettable Great Migration adventure comes to an end.
