Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m.)
You will arrive at Kathmandu airport, and our team will welcome you and then transfer you to the beautiful boutique hotel in Thamel. You will have some time to rest while sipping the tea or coffee. Meet the Mera Peak climbing team and have a trip briefing. Travelers will have a leisurely walk around the market and enjoy the beautiful evening. Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and trip preparation day (1,400 m.)
Wake up in the morning, explore the beautiful surroundings from your hotel, and get refreshed. You will have your delicious breakfast in the hotel, which makes your day. By that time, our representative will be there in the hotel for your day of sightseeing in Kathmandu. Travelers will move to Kathmandu sightseeing from about 8 am to 9 am from the hotel. You will have a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, which will be 25 to 30 minutes. You will explore the beautiful Himalayas and the Everest region during the flight. The Lukla airport is elevated at an altitude of 2,860 m above sea level. You will start the trek from Lukla to Paiya, which will be about 4 to 5 hours of trekking. The altitude of Paiya is 2,730 meters. Trekkers will pass by Surke village, the Dudh Koshi river, and Pakhapani and reach Paiya. The trail is a mix of gradual ascents and descents, with some sections being level treks. Upon arrival in Paia, you will transfer to the Teahouse, where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Paiya to Pangom (2,846 m.)
Today, you will trek from Paiya to Panggom. After having your morning breakfast, get ready to trek to Panggom. You will trek through Paiya Khola, crossing beautiful wooden bridges, rhododendron forests, and charming villages. Trekkers will pass by Kharte, then ascend Kari La Pass (3,145 m.), before reaching Panggom village. During the trek, you'll enjoy views of the stunning Dudh Kunda Himal, Numbur Himal, and other spectacular peaks. The altitude of Panggom is approximately 2,846 meters. The distance from Paiya to Panggom is about 10 to 12 kilometers, which takes roughly 5 to 6 hours to trek. Upon arrival in Panggom, you'll be transferred to a cozy, beautiful teahouse. Take time to explore the surrounding scenery and enjoy an overnight stay. Unwind at the teahouse after dinner.
Day 5: Pangom to Ningsow (2,860 m.)

Trekkers will pass by Panggom La pass (3,174 meters), offering the beautiful views of Mera Peak, Numbur Himal, and Kongde Ri during the trek. From Pangom to Ningsow it will be approximately 9 to 10 kilometers, which will take 5 to 6 hours to trek. The altitude of Ningsow Sherpa village is about 2,860 meters. Day 6: Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800 m.)
Start your day early with breakfast at the treehouse and get ready to trek to Chhatra Khola from the Ningsow. You will trek through bamboo forests, short ascents, and dense jungle within Makalu National Park. There will be the Pasnag Lhamu trail, beautiful wooden bridges, and Chhatra Khola. You might spot the red panda and Himalayan snow leopard during the trek. The varieties of birds, butterflies, and monkeys make your trek even wilder. Ningsow to Chhatra Khola is about 12 kilometers, and it will take 6 to 7 hours to trek. The altitude of Chhatra Khola is about 2,800 meters. Day 7: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691 m.)

During the trek, you will pass by Majang Khola, a beautiful, dense forest with oak, pine, and bamboo trees. You will pass by Hinku Khola, have spectacular views of Mera Peak, and follow the Hinku River. You will be experiencing the rich cultural heritage, beautiful Makalu Barun National Park, and wonderful landscapes. The altitude of the Kothe is about 3,691 meters, and it is about 12 to 13 kilometers from the Chhatra Khola. Trekkers will take about 6 to 7 hours to trek, depending on the pace of the trekkers. You will arrive in Kothe and stay overnight at the cozy teahouse. Explore the beautiful surroundings of Kothe, in the evening have your dinner, and then stay relaxed.
Day 8: Kothe to Thaknak (4,358 m.)
Today you will trek to Thaknak from the Kothe. You will have a healthy breakfast in the teahouse and start your day. You will trek through the Hinku River, pine and rhododendron forests, and closer views of Mera Peak. You will be inefficiently gaining altitude, and the air will be becoming thinner. You will pass by yak pastures, alpine meadows, Gondishung Monastery, and Lungsumgba Gompa during the trek from Kothe to Thaknak. The altitude of Thaknak is about 4,358 meters, and it is about 10 kilometers from the Kothe. You will take about a 5- to 6-hour trek to reach the Thaknak. On arrival in Thaknak, you will stop in the cozy and beautiful teahouse and spend your night. Explore the beautiful surroundings, have your evening dinner, and relax overnight.
Day 9: Thaknak to Khare (5,045 m.)
Have your healthy breakfast in the teahouse and get ready to trek to Khare. For trekking and climbing to the high-altitude mountain, we recommend you start early in the morning for easy ascending and to avoid windy weather. You will have stunning views of towering Mera Peak, the Shar Glacier, and beautiful landscapes during the trek today. The Khare is known as the base camp of the Mera Peak. The altitude of the Khare is about 5,045 meters above sea level. Thaknak to Khare is about 7 to 8 kilometers, which will take approximately 6 hours to trek. On the arrival of Khare, you will be transferred to the teahouse, where you will rest and drink tea or coffee. Explore the beautiful surrounding Himalayas and enjoy the wonderful moments. Day 10: Acclimatization in Khare and Pre-Camp Training (5,045 m.)
Acclimatization during peak climbing and high-altitude trekking is crucial to having a successful mountain ascent. Wake up in the morning and have your healthy breakfast in the teahouse. You will have to hike to nearby ridges or viewpoints above the Khare, like 5,400 to 5,500 meters. Get back to the hotel and have your lunch in Khare, and then there will be a climbing training session by our guide. You will be ascending above the Khare nearby slopes or glaciers with the assistance of our guide. You will have a wonderful training session, and then you will have the knowledge for climbing Mera Peak summit. After the training, you will get back to the hotel and have hot tea or snacks and take a rest. In the evening, explore the beautiful surroundings, have your evening dinner and overnight stay, and unwind in the teahouse.
Day 11: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780 m.)
Today you will climb to Mera High Camp from Khare, which is the camping Himalayas, and you will be staying in the tent house. Have your healthy breakfast in the Khare and get ready to ascend to Mera High Camp. The trail ascends over the steadily rocky moraines and glacier and gradually transitions to the snow-covered terrain. You will cross the Mera La pass, where you will explore the beautiful Mera North, Central, and South summits. Climbers will continue to the High Mera base camp, where you will have a short break. You will trek to Mera High Camp with spectacular views of the beautiful Himalayas and Mera Peak.

If the weather is unfavorable, then we will wait to have good weather. Have a good meal, drink hot tea, and consume more hot water and healthy food to gain energy for your body. Over the night, explore the spectacular Himalayas views under the millions of bright stars, and stay relaxed and keep your body warmer.
Day 13: High Camp to Mera Peak Summit (6,476 m.) and Return to Khare (5,045 m.)
Wake up early in the morning, around 2 to 3 am, and have your breakfast, then start to climb the long-awaited Mera Peak. You can have a light breakfast, like tea, soup, porridge, omelette, etc., before climbing. Prepare your climbing gear, like a harness, helmet, crampons, ice axe, rope, and accessories. You will cross the Mera glacier, thrilling landscapes, and beautiful snowy ridges. The altitude of Mera Peak Central is about 6,476 meters above sea level. Climbing from High Camp to Mera Peak and back to Khare will take approximately 7 to 9 hours, depending on weather conditions and the pace of the climbers. The altitude of Kothe is approximately 3,691 meters, and it will take around 6 to 7 hours to trek. Once you arrive in Kothe, you will check in to the cozy teahouse. Day 15: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m.)
You will have morning breakfast in Kothe and get ready to trek to Thuli Kharka. You will leave the Hinku Valley and begin the trek to Thuli Khara through beautiful, lush forest on uphill and some descending trails. Enjoy the beautiful peace and remote landscapes, the sounds of glaciers feeding streams, and occasional sights of mountain wildlife during the trek. The altitude of Thuli Kharka is about 4,300 meters, which is a higher altitude than the Kothe. It will take around 5 to 6 hours to trek to Thuli Kharka from Kothe. Once you reach Thuli Kharka, you will be transferred to the cozy teahouse. Have a tea or coffee and relax in the beautiful teahouse in Thuli Kharka. Day 16: Thuli Kharka to Zatrwa La Pass (4,600 m.) and Trek to Lukla(2,860 m.)
You will have a final day trekking to Lukla from Thuli Kharka, during which you will have the Zatrwa La pass during the trek today. Wake up in the morning and you will have your breakfast in the teahouse, then get ready to trek to Lukla. You will start the trek to Zatrwa La Pass, which is the last high pass (4,600 m.) of the trek. You will have beautiful views of Mera Peak, Kusum Kanguru Peak, Cho Oyu Himal, and other beautiful peaks during the Zatrwa La pass. You will descend and then pass by the Dudh Koshi river, Chutanga village, and beautiful landscapes before reaching Lukla. The altitude of Lukla is about 2,600 meters; it will take around 6 to 8 hours to trek to Lukla from Thuli Kharka.
On arrival in Lukla Bazaar, you will be transferred to the hotel, where you will be staying overnight. Lukla is the most popular and highest-altitude airport in the world. Explore the beautiful surroundings of Lukla and the beautiful mountains. Have your evening dinner in the hotel, and for your overnight stay, unwind.
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu (1,400 m.)
Finally, travelers will be ending the most demanding Mera Peak climbing today on arrival in Kathmandu. Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast in the hotel, then get ready to fly to Kathmandu over the beautiful Himalayas. Due to the weather issues, the flights from Lukla will be early in the morning. Lukla to Kathmandu will take about 25 to 30 minutes by flight. You will have spectacular Himalaya Mountain views, including the Everest region, during the flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. You will relax with your favorite hot or cold drinks in the hotel. After some time, you can have a leisurely walk in the local market, and you can buy some souvenirs.
In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner and celebration of achievement in the vibrant restaurant. You will be back at the hotel after the celebration and overnight stay. Unwind in the comfortable hotel room after the long Mera Peak journey.
Day 18: Final Departure for Home
Today is your final day of the Nepal trip, and you will depart for your home country from Tribhuvan airport in Kathmandu. Wake up according to your flight schedule, get refreshed, and have your breakfast in the hotel. Do the bag packing and make sure to include all your belongings in your luggage. Your essential documents, souvenirs, and other items go in your luggage. According to your flight schedule, a Touch Planet Treks representative will arrive there at the hotel. Travellers will get ready to move to the Kathmandu airport. We will have a comfortable private vehicle. It will take around half an hour to reach the airport from Thamel, Kathmandu.
