Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m.)

Day 4: Diktel to Chakhewa Drive (2,250 m.)

You will pass by beautiful yak grazing meadows, where you will see the Himalayan yak and sheep grazing. You will have uphill trekking, downhill trekking, and level trekking today. The altitude of Dhotre is about 2,760 meters, and it will take 5 to 6 hours to trek from Chakhewa. Day 6: Dhotre to Maiyung (3,125 m.)

You will have breakfast in the Dhotre and get ready to trek to Maiyung Hill. The altitude of Maiyung Hill is about 3,125 meters, but the Maiyung Danda, or viewpoint, is about 3,333 meters. From Dhotre to Maiyung it will take around 6 to 7 hours, which is about 11 to 13 kilometers. The trek is one of the most scenic and culturally rich of the Mundhum trail. During the trek, you will be exploring pine, oak, and rhododendron forests and alpine meadows. On clear days, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, and other beautiful peaks.

You will have spectacular ridge walks and experience the Kirati cultures and beautiful surroundings. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Maiyung village. Day 7: Maiyung to Rawadhap (3,430 m.)

You will wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, and trek to the Rawadhap. The altitude of Rawadhap is about 3,430 meters. Trekking to Rawadhap from Maiyung will take 5 to 6 hours, which is about 10 to 12 kilometers. Trekkers will have beautiful scenic mountain views and the surrounding Himalayas. The trekking trail will be an uphill, downhill, and level path trek. On the arrival of Rawadhap, you will be staying in the beautiful teahouse or community home. Day 8: Rawadhap to Salpa Bhanjyang (3,350 m.)

After breakfast in Rawadhap, you will start trekking to Salpa Bhanjyang. You will pass by open alpine meadows, traditional villages, lush forests, and alpine terrain. You will be offering the sweeping views of the eastern Himalayas, the historic pilgrimage route, the sacred Mundhum landscapes, and beautiful ridges during the trek. The altitude of Salpa Bhanjyang is about 3,350 meters, and it will take around 6 to 7 hours to reach. The trekking distance for today is about 12 to 13 kilometers. Once you reach Salpa Bhanjyang, you will be transferred to the teahouse. Explore the beautiful Mundhum trail and surroundings while having hot tea or coffee. Day 9: Day Hike to Silichung Peak (5,153 m.) and back to Salpa Bganjyang (3,350 m.)

Today you will hike to Silichung Peak from Salpa Bhanjyang. Silichung Peak is the highest altitude of the Mundhum Trail and also a wonderful viewpoint. Trekkers will wake up early in the morning and have their breakfast, then start the trek to Silichung viewpoint. The altitude of the Silichung viewpoint is about 4,153 meters. From Salpa Bhanjyang to Silichung Peak, it will take about 6 to 8 hours for back and forth. From Silichung Peak trek you will be exploring beautiful views of Mount Chamlang, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Mount Everest, and Makalu.

Trekkers will have a picnic lunch during the Lilichung Peak trek. Explore the panoramic views of the Mundhum region, traditional villages, the beautiful Kirat trail, landscapes, flora, and fauna from Silichung peak. You will return to the Salpa Bhanjyang. Day 10: Salpa Bhanjyang to Hyakule (2,975 m.)

Wake up early in the morning to have beautiful sunrise views in Salpa Bhanjyang. Explore the beautiful panoramic views of beautiful mountains. Day 11: Hyakule to Hanspokhari (2,965 m.)

Have your delicious breakfast and start trekking to Hanspokhari. You will trek through beautiful, terraced rice fields, lush forests, traditional villages, and small streams. You will be exploring the birdlife during a pleasant morning walk. You will have a mild ascent and descent during the trek. There will be a passing by the Rai and Limbu villages, where you will experience the Mundhum cultures. The altitude of Hanspokhari is about 2,965 meters above sea level. Trekking from Hyakule to Hanspokhari will take 4 to 5 hours; the trail distance is about 10 kilometres.
On the arrival of Hanspokhari, you will be transferred to the teahouse. You will have a rest sometime with tea or coffee. In Hanspokhari, you will have good facilities and comfortable lodges or teahouses. Explore the beautiful surroundings, and in the evening, unwind in your bed after dinner.

Day 12: Hanspokhari to Bhojpur (1,800 m.)

Today marks the final leg of the trek. You will wake up in the morning, refresh yourself, and then have breakfast at the lodge. You will finally be completing the Mundhum trail in Bhojpur Bazaar. Trekkers can also pass by Dharan from Bhojpur during the Mundhum trail. The Dharan to Mundhum trail passes by the popular sacred site Baraha Kshetra. Here, you will trek to Bhojpur from Hanspokhari, which will take around 4 to 5 hours. The Bhojpur section of the Mundhum trail route is approximately 1,800 meters. During the trail today, you will pass by villages, farmland, forest trek paths, and beautiful greenery with mountain views.

On arrival in Bhojpur, you will be transferred to a comfortable lodge. You will have rest with tea, coffee, or soft drinks. In the evening, you will be exploring the local market and the surrounding mountains. You will have your evening dinner and overnight stay and unwind in the comfortable hotel room.

Day 13: Bhojpur to Kathmandu Drive (1,400 m.)

Travellers will drive to Kathmandu today from Bhojpur Bazaar. However, you have the option to pass by Dharan, which is a popular city of eastern Nepal. During the Dharan to Mundhum trail, you can explore the beautiful sacred sites of Baraha Kshetra and Chatara Dham. Indeed, the Mundhum trail has the itinerary for the drive from Bhojpur to Kathmandu. The journey to Kathmandu from Bhojpur will take about 10 to 11 hours by car, which is approximately 330 kilometers. You will have other options. 3-hour jeep drive to Tumlingtar and fly to Kathmandu in about 45 minutes.
During the drive to Kathmandu, you will pass by Dhankuta, several settlements, villages, and farmland. On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the luxury hotel, where you will have a relaxing and comfortable stay. You will have rest sometime, and we will do an evening farewell dinner in the vibrant restaurant. We will do a nice celebration and get back to the hotel. Overnight stay: relax in the luxury or boutique hotel rooms.

Day 14: Departure to Home

You will get up in the morning according to your flight schedule and get ready with your luggage packing. Have your last morning breakfast in Kathmandu, savor the Himalayan coffees, and enjoy the sunrise. You will do backpacking and make sure it includes all your belongings. You will pack your souvenirs, showings, and all your memories or gifts. By the time our representative arrives at the hotel. Travelers will depart for the airport in a comfortable private vehicle along with a Touch Planet Treks representative. We will do a final departure farewell at the Kathmandu airport.
