Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara
Your adventure begins with an 8:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park. With picnic lunch in hand, you'll spend the day on a thrilling game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes. The lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany welcome you, offering a natural habitat to a wide variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out for giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, baboons, blue monkeys, and, if you're lucky, the rare tree-climbing lions. During the right season, Lake Manyara’s shores are also painted pink with flocks of flamingos. After a day full of sightings, you’ll head to your camp or lodge for a well-deserved dinner and rest.
2 Day 2: Lake Manyara to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, the journey continues through the rolling hills of Karatu and into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, eventually reaching the vast plains of the Serengeti. The landscape opens up endlessly, welcoming you to one of the world’s most iconic wildlife destinations. You'll head to the Seronera region in Central Serengeti, known for its rich concentration of wildlife and the life-giving Seronera River. After arriving in time for lunch, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring this abundant ecosystem before settling into your accommodation for the evening.
3 Day 3: Full Day in Central Serengeti
Today you can choose your pace. Either enjoy a relaxed breakfast and head out for a full-day game drive around 9:00 AM with packed lunch, or begin with an early morning safari at 6:00 AM to catch the wildlife at its most active, returning for breakfast before heading out again in the afternoon. You’ll explore the Seronera area, a region famed for its high density of predators like lions and leopards. The Seronera River is a magnet for wildlife year-round, making this one of the park’s most rewarding areas for viewing. A picnic lunch will be provided during the game drive, and the day wraps up with dinner and overnight rest at your lodge or camp.
4 Day 4: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Start your day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, soaking up a few more sightings before continuing your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route. Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, is a haven for over 30,000 animals and offers a breathtaking backdrop. Ringed by ancient volcanoes, the lush crater floor is dotted with watering holes that attract a variety of wildlife. Your day ends with a hearty dinner and overnight stay near the crater.
5 Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
An early breakfast sets the stage for your final safari experience: a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater at around 6:30 AM. This 260-square-kilometer caldera, with its depth of over 2,000 feet, provides one of the best wildlife viewing spots in Africa. During the 5-hour game drive, you might encounter elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. After a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you’ll ascend from the crater and begin the four-hour drive back to Arusha. Expect to arrive around 6:00 PM, where you'll be dropped off at your preferred location bringing an unforgettable journey to a close, full of stories, photos, and memories to cherish.
