After breakfast, you will be transferred to Marangu Gate for registration and a short briefing with your mountain team.
The climb begins through the beautiful tropical rainforest, where you may see monkeys, colorful birds, and unique vegetation. The trail gradually ascends to Mandara Hut, where you will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Habitat: Moorland

After breakfast, continue your trek through the forest before reaching the open moorland zone. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of Mawenzi Peak and the surrounding landscapes.
Arrive at Horombo Hut, where you will rest and prepare for the higher altitude.

The landscape becomes more rugged as you approach Kibo Hut, located at the base of the summit area. After dinner, you will rest early before the midnight summit attempt.
