Day 6
Serengeti

Today, after an early breakfast, you will make your way towards the southern Serengeti, and at midday, you will reach the great plains of the Serengeti, known as Siringitu to the Maasai, a word meaning “where the land goes on forever.” This park is amongst the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes. The Serengeti is a 5,700-square-mile expanse of open grassland, with rolling hills interspersed with acacia trees and kopjes. This area offers a home to millions of Earth’s most impressive land animals, and one of the last great migratory ecosystems on the planet. Giraffes, buffalo, topis, hartebeests, waterbucks, impalas, hippopotamuses, elephants, crocodiles, warthogs, hyenas, lions, cheetahs, and leopards are among the Serengeti’s resident animals. In the late afternoon, stop your Great Migration Safari and be transferred to Serengeti Serena for dinner and overnight.
Day 7
Serengeti

The whole day (morning, afternoon, and evening) is dedicated to game viewing in Serengeti Central. Remember, the places you visit will be determined by the location of the migrating herds. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees), and cheetahs. Your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to spot them best. In the evening, before sunset, you drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8-9
Serengeti

These entire days are dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park while your home is in a traditional luxury tented camp that moves seasonally to always be close to the great migration. The regions you explore will be determined by the location of the migrating herds. We spend these unforgettable days searching for the massive herds of wildebeest and zebra as they gather in the southern plains to have their babies (December-March), travel north through the Western Corridor and cross the Grumeti River (April-July), or in the northern Serengeti on the banks of the Mara River (August-September) (August-November).

It is a treat to shake off the dust after a day in the bush and enjoy a cool drink as the sun sets over the Serengeti. We enjoy delectable dinners provided by the camp’s talented chef after sundowners by the campfire. Each nightfall, we go to our safari tents, where we sleep in full-size beds with hotel-quality bedding while soaking up the serenity of the Serengeti, complete with distant lion roars and a night sky ablaze with stars.
Serengeti fly-over and departure to Arusha

Today is the final day of your Great Migration Safari. After a leisure breakfast, you will be transferred to a nearby airstrip, where we say goodbye to our bush hosts and board our flight to Arusha. You will be met by a Wyatt Dynasty Safari driver when you arrive in Arusha and transferred to a lodge where you will have a day-use room to rest and prepare for your later international flight.
