Uganda Gorillas, Chimps & Wildlife Safari - 8 days

Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls

Begin your safari with an early morning departure towards northern Uganda. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. Continue towards Murchison Falls National Park after lunch and arrive at your lodge later in the day.

Day 2: Murchison Falls – Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Start the morning with a game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, antelopes and other wildlife. Return for breakfast and relaxation before taking an afternoon boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. Enjoy views of hippos, crocodiles and water birds before returning to your lodge.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and travel south towards Kibale Forest. This is a scenic transfer through rural Uganda, with a lunch stop along the way. Arrive near Kibale in the evening and relax at your lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, begin your chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest. Explore the rainforest with ranger guides while searching for chimpanzees and other primates. After the activity, travel towards Queen Elizabeth National Park and arrive later in the day.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Game Drive & Kazinga Channel

Enjoy an early morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Search for elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kob and other wildlife. After lunch, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda's most rewarding wildlife-viewing experiences.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, travel south towards Bwindi. Depending on the selected route, enjoy a game drive through Ishasha, an area known for its scenic wilderness and potential sightings of tree-climbing lions. Continue towards Bwindi and check into your lodge.

Overnight: Lodge/Camp near Bwindi

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing. Enter the forest with your ranger guides and trek in search of your assigned gorilla family. Spend the permitted viewing period observing the gorillas before returning to the lodge to relax.

Day 8: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic drive through southwestern Uganda and stop for lunch along the way. Continue to your final destination, marking the end of your safari.
