Highlights of this trek include the popular Namche Bazaar. Mostly used for altitude acclimatization, this is also a getaway to most of the treks to Base Camp and other mountain expeditions in this area. The town has a number of lodgings, internet cafes, as well as supply and gift shops catering to the needs of visitors before proceeding deeper into this remote region of the Sherpa people.
The Tengboche Monastery Is another popular site on our journey. Surrounded by immense mountains, this important Buddhist spiritual site for the Sherpa people allows you the chance to observe the life of the Buddhist monks.
Another major highlight of this trip is Kala Patthar which in Nepali means “Black Rock” and gives ones of the best views of the famous Mt. Everest. Many of the tourists who come for the Everest Base Camp trekking visit Kala Patthar which lies at the elevation of 5164m which in itself is a feat and can be taken as a minor summit.
We finally reach the iconic Everest Base Camp, with an elevation of 5364m. This site actively remains used by climbers from all over the world who are making their attempt to summit Mt. Everest, the highest mountain on Earth. View the Khumbu icefall which begins the mountaineers climb, and an amphitheater of immense mountains that surround the base camp. Day 06: Trek to Tengboche 3,867m 5 hours walk
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4,358m 5-6 hours walk
Day 08: Acclimatize Day
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,928m 5 hours walk
