Upper Mustang with Tiji (Teeji) Festival 2017 - 18 DAys

Tiji (tenji) Festival 2017 going to celebrate on 22 , 23, 24 May 2017

At this time, the Mustang region was still completely closed off to foreigners and he had to obtain special permission from the government of Nepal in order to enter the region. Despite his arrival on the last day of the celebration (he was unaware of the observance of Tiji) the experience left a lasting impression on him. “The scenes I witnessed were so extraordinary and so unexpected that I dared not believe my eyes and even today I have some trouble in believing in the reality of what I saw that day.”

Day 1 : 15 May 2017
Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport and pick up you by our private vehicle and transfer to the Hotel
Day 2 : 16 May 2017
Full day guided sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. (B)
Day 3 : 17 May 2017
Kathmandu To Pokhara by Tourist Bus . (210 KM 7 Hrs Drive), Over night at Hotel Kantipur Pokhara . B
Day 4 : 18 May 2017
6:30 am flight from Pokhara to Jomsom (15 Min Flight), breakfast at Jomsom and Comencing trek to Kagbeni (3.5 hrs easy walking) Overnight at Shangi-la, Kagbeni. B, L, D
Day 5 : 19 May 2017
Early breakfast at Tea House in Kagbeni and start trek to Tsaile(3050M) (We enter in restricted area from this day) (5-6 hrs, almost easy walking following kaligandaki River) , Overnight at Mustang gate tea house in Tsaile . B,L,D
Day 6 : 20 May 2017
Early breakfast at Tsaile and start trek to Ghiling(3500M) (or Schenmoche , its depending on your walking fitness) -6-7 Hrs trek (this part is difficult part of whole trip , we cross almost 300 meter hight in first hour) , overnight at Ghiling (3500M).
Day 7 : 21 May 2017
Early breakfast at Ghiling and start trek to to Tsarang. (3645m) 6 hrs , we do evening sightseeing to oldest palace and 800+ years old red Tsarang monastery and village . (B.L.D).
Day 8 : 22 May 2017
After Breakfast start walking towards to destination The wall city Lo-manthang , beautiful Stupa and magnificent landscape of Mustang , its a easy walk of 3-4 hrs. After lunch, we participant on Opening ceremony of Tiji festival (start at 3 pm and end at 5 pm) Overnight at Lo-manthang guest House . (B,L,D)
Day 9 : 23 May 2017
After breakfast morning visit to Choser Cave and monastery (1.5 Hrs walk and Back ) , lunch at hotel and ready for final day of Tiji Festival , start at 2 pm and end around 6 pm) . Overnight at Hotel .
Day 10 : 24 May 2017
After breakfast morning visit to Choser Cave and monastery (1.5 Hrs walk and Back ) , lunch at hotel and ready for final day of Tiji Festival , start at 2 pm and end around 6 pm) . Overnight at Hotel .
Day 11 : 25 May 2017
Trek back to Ghemi for our night stay (5 hrs walk) .
Day 12 : 26 May 2017
Trek Back to Samar (Summer) one of the greenest village of Upper mustang (5 hrs trek) .
Day 13 : 27 May 2017
Trek to Chhusang (2920) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 14 : 28 May 2017
Chhusang to Muktinath , following mountain goat trail on fossil mountain , night stay at Muktinath . 6 Hrs trek. (B.L.D)
Day 15 : 29 May 2017
Muktinath to Jomsom , easy walking via Jharkot village -5 Hrs .
Day 16 : 30 June 2017
Early fly back to Pokhara and Connecting flight to Kathmandu or drive back to Kathmandu . Farewell Dinner, Overnight at Kathmandu . B
Day 17 : 01 June 2017
Transfer to airport. Trip concludes.
