Srilanka tour [Dec 2011 & Jan2012]
6 Nights / 7 Days

Day 1: Welcome on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by The Global Voyage representative and transfer to Colombo. Check in at your hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay in a hotel in Colombo.

Day 2: After breakfast leave for South west coast of Sri Lanka. Relax on the beach. Stay overnight at Beach hotel.
Day 3: After breakfast make a ½ Day excursion to Hikkaduwa / Galle. On the way visit a turtle hatchery. Make a boat trip in the River Madhu to see bird & village life. Proceed to see a mask factory & a moon stone mine. At Hikkaduwa make a trip in a glass bottom boat, to see the underwater life. Afternoon return to hotel and relax by the beach. Stay overnight at Beach hotel.

Day 4: After breakfast leave for Kandy. Check in at hotel. Later in the evening view a performance of Cultural Dances. Stay overnight at Hotel in Kandy.


Day 5: After breakfast make city tour in Kandy. Visit the upper lake drive, the Kandy Lake & the Market area. Visit the botanical gardens in Peradeniya. Visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela. See the elephants in nature, being fed, working & bathing in the nearby river. Ride on an elephant. Visit a spice garden to see different spices, and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Evening leave for Colombo. Overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 6: Breakfast at hotel. Make a city tour in Colombo. Make a sightseeing tour of Colombo, which includes Fort, Pettah, Sea Street, the Gangarama Temple, a Museum and the Town Hall etc. Discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion, Odel, Arena, etc. Stay overnight at Hotel in Colombo.


Day 7: After breakfast leave for airport for onwards flight.
