Self Guided Walking in North Cyprus - Seven days

Day 1
Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2
(Walking day 1) In the morning you will be met at your hotel and an experienced guide / walker will introduce you to the itinerary and the island. You will then do your Besparmak Mountain walk (approx 2.5 hours).


Day 3
Today you will perambulate through two forests and as well as visiting the Sourp Magar Monastery. We hope you will take the time to visit North Cyprus’s unique Herbarium today (approx 3.5 hours).

Day 4
Today you will depart from the small village of Ta?kent, towards Bellapais via the house of the author, Lawrence Durrell, with views over the plain of Mesarya and views to the Troodos Mountain Range in the South on clear days (approx 2.5 hours).

Day 5
Today you are taken to the village of Mersinlik located on the northern slopes, where the walk takes in beautiful views to the North coast and the Gulf of Famagusta, ending in the small village of Kantara.Maybe visit The Crusader Castle, Kantara where you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views (approx 4 hours without visiting the Castle).

Day 6
Today you walk from the Alevkaya Forest to the Byzantine Antiphonitis Monastery enjoying fabulous views on the way. In the monastery church there are wall paintings dating back to the 12th and 15th century (approx 4.5 hours without visiting the monastery).

Day 7
You will leave your hotel and be transferred to the airport.
